Southern Boll Hold
Tenth Pass - PernMUSH

Map of Boll Penninsula

Southern Boll Hold was established by Governor Emily Boll and Pierre de Courcis to the south of Fort Hold on the peninsula. Surrounded by waters on three sides, the Hold has tropical weather all turn round. The traditional dress of the hold residents consists mainly of veils, head scarves, turbans as well as loose cotton clothing that helps keep the day bearable. Pack animals travel the long, terraced yet rather steep road to the Hold. Boll has its own port now, allowing for the shipment of goods to commence in well-deserved trade.

Southern Boll allows for an enjoyable yet leisurely way of life. Boll brings in many fish and the jungle is heavily laden with fruits and vines. This Hold raises numerous herbs to make teas. Its fruit trees bear the perfect fruits for its liquors and grape wines. Boll is renowned for the medicinal, cooking and hot-climate spices. Of the few remaining chickens on Pern, Boll is the only Hold to raise them. In addition, Boll is also renowned for its strong runner breeding; its prowess has been noted at the standings at the last Bitran races. Southern Boll uses furniture made of its native vines like wicker wound around decorative metal supports. Instead of padding, chairs are made with slings or caned backs and seats. In addition, Boll also has the presence of the main Weavercrafthall and a secondary Minecrafthall. The original plate glass is still in the windows of the main Hold.
